Location: Bangalore
About The Organisation:
Quest Alliance is a non-profit trust that envisions a world where all young people are self-learners and prepared for the 21st century. The organisation works at the intersection of education and technology to build skills, agency, and community among youth — with a particular focus on underserved government school ecosystems.
Through programs spanning digital literacy, STEM education, career readiness, and teacher capacity building, Quest Alliance has reached thousands of students and educators across multiple states in India.
Role Overview
The Senior Officer – EdTech will play a key role in driving innovation and technology integration within Quest’s education programs. The role focuses on designing and implementing Ideathons and Hackathons that nurture creativity, problem-solving, and innovation among students in government schools. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, facilitation experience, and passion for equity-centered learning and iterative design.

- Provide technical mentorship on hardware-software integration, including sensors, microcontrollers, and basic coding.
- Collaborate with state and national teams to develop hackathon themes, rubrics, facilitation guides, and toolkits.
- Capture insights and document prototypes, showcasing student innovations and connecting them to post-event opportunities such as incubation or community applications.
- Set up and maintain tinkering environments in select schools/labs and build team and teacher capacity to sustain them.
Advanced Hackathon Pathways
- Co-design and support district and state-level hackathon bootcamps to help students develop advanced MVPs (Minimum Viable Products).
- Support the execution of national-level hackathons, enabling students to showcase high-quality prototypes.
- Identify and develop pathways for students to access mentorship, internships, and exposure to higher education institutions and innovation platforms of national and international repute.
